## Description

The North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) is a professional organization focused on strengthening cancer registration and surveillance across North America. It develops and promotes uniform data standards, encourages the use of cancer surveillance systems and information for cancer control, epidemiologic research, public health programs, and patient care, and provides technical resources to support registry work.

NAACCR serves cancer registry professionals and researchers through education, training, conferences, certification resources, and member programs. Its materials include data standards and dictionaries, coding guidance, operational guidelines, data quality resources, and tools for interoperability and data exchange. The organization also makes cancer incidence information available through products such as Cancer in North America (CiNA), interactive data resources, and statistical reports.

For research, NAACCR provides information on accessing registry data, analytic resources, and the Virtual Pooled Registry Cancer Linkage System, a developing initiative intended to connect researchers with multiple cancer registries. Members can also take part in committees, mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities.
