## Description

The National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) is a dedicated organization aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals of African ancestry. Committed to advocacy, research, and the delivery of human services, NABSW seeks to empower African communities in the pursuit of freedom from racial and economic oppression. The organization actively fosters collaboration with both national and international groups to strengthen the capacity of its constituents, promoting a supportive environment where they can thrive. NABSW emphasizes a holistic approach to social work, guided by the principles of Nguzo Saba and the Seven Cardinal Virtues of Ma’at. These foundational values underscore its mission to cultivate unity, self-determination, and cooperation among its members. Through various initiatives like the Annual African Centered Social Work Symposium, the NABSW provides platforms for professional development, networking, and knowledge-sharing. The association not only advocates for social justice but also inspires a collective commitment to mental wellness and spirituality within the community.
