## Description

The National Arboretum Bald Eagle Nest Cam is a wildlife-viewing and education project focused on bald eagles nesting at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, DC. Developed through cooperation among the American Eagle Foundation, the U.S. National Arboretum, Friends of the National Arboretum, and other supporting agencies, the project offers live views of the nest through high-definition cameras. Visitors can follow the changing story of the resident eagles, including Mr. President and his mate, Lotus, and learn about nesting activity, seasonal updates, and the challenges wild eagles may face. The site also provides archived photos, event logs, camera troubleshooting tips, and information about the nest’s history and conservation value. A community chat, supported with etiquette guidance and scheduled sessions, gives viewers a place to discuss observations. Support links help keep the cameras streaming, while seasonal merchandise and social media offer additional ways to engage. By sharing the eagles’ lives, the project promotes education about bald eagles, conservation, and habitat protection.
