## Description

NAFCARD, the National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks Federation Limited, is the apex-level organization representing Agriculture and Rural Development Banks across India. Established in 1960, the Federation is administered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002. It brings together member banks and provides a national platform for their coordination and representation, with governance through its General Body, Board of Directors and committees.

The Federation’s work includes sharing information about member banks, their structure and credit services, as well as publishing reports and other materials. Its website provides updates on meetings, workshops, events and developments relevant to the sector, including initiatives connected with the International Year of Cooperatives. NAFCARD also lists national and international affiliations and offers a gallery of photographs and videos. Through these resources and activities, the Federation supports communication among Agriculture and Rural Development Banks and makes information about their work accessible to members and the public. NAFCARD is based in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and can be contacted by phone or email for further information.
