## Description

The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) is a professional organization dedicated exclusively to flight instruction. Founded in 1967, it works to raise and maintain the standing of flight instructors and promote aviation education and safety. NAFI serves flight instructors, aviation educators, and others interested in flight training through education, mentorship, and advocacy.

Members can access professional development resources, including a program designed to strengthen instructors’ technical and teaching skills, and the Master Flight and Ground Instructor Accreditation Program, which recognizes professional activity and service. NAFI also offers Mentor magazine, a weekly eMentor newsletter, webinars, live broadcasts, special interest groups, and the More Right Rudder podcast. Its monthly MentorLIVE programs feature industry experts discussing flight instruction.

The association provides opportunities to network with peers, find mentors, attend events, and connect with industry partners. Membership benefits include archived educational content and discounts on products and services. NAFI also presents honors and awards, including the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame, and offers the NAFI-King Schools Scholarship.
