The Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) is a foundation established under Dutch law, offering a variety of professional services related to arbitration, mediation, and binding advice. With a dedicated Secretariat of 10 staff members, the NAI administers proceedings under its various rules and provides expert guidance in the resolution of disputes. The Executive Board, composed of members from the academic, business, and legal communities, is responsible for managing the foundation and approving its strategic direction.

The NAI also boasts an Advisory Board and an independent Committee, both of which provide crucial support and oversight. In addition to its administrative functions, the NAI also publishes yearly statistics reports and offers education and training for arbitrators, with a focus on improving the quality of arbitral proceedings. The NAI maintains a rigorous process for appointing arbitrators, binding advisors, and mediators, and maintains a list of approximately 200 qualified arbitrators.
