Welcome to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), the regulatory body responsible for the effective administration, supervision, regulation, and control of insurance business in Nigeria. Our mandate includes establishing standards for the conduct of insurance business, approving insurance premiums, ensuring the protection of government assets and other properties, regulating transactions between insurers and reinsurers, and advising the federal government on insurance-related matters. We also protect policyholders, publish annual reports and statistics, contribute to insurance education programs, and carry out other activities connected to our functions.

Our goals are to provide effective and efficient service delivery, ensure a safe and stable insurance sector, adequately protect policyholders and public interest, improve trust and confidence in the insurance industry, and encourage innovation and market development. Our vision is for a safe and stable insurance industry that competes globally and contributes significantly to Nigeria's economy.
