Founded by Late Dr. M.

The NAI serves as a collective voice for different newspapers across the country, offering a common platform for members to interact, locate and address issues, and present them to higher authorities.

With its six strategic priorities including marketing, public policy, diversity, industrial development, newspaper operations, and readership, NAI strives to enhance the skills of vernacular publications throughout India. Additionally, NAI supports small and medium newspapers, journals, and periodicals to foster sustainable social enterprises and build a just civil society in India. Their commitment to independent and unbiased journalism has made them a vital force in protecting and promoting journalism in India for the past 29 years
