Nalas is a prominent brand that represents a network of associations of local authorities in South-East Europe. Established in 2001 under the auspices of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Nalas became an officially registered association in 2005 with its seat in Strasbourg. Nalas holds observer status in both the Committee of the Regions of the European Union and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.

Nalas strives to contribute to the reconciliation, stabilization, and European integration process in the region. The brand initiates and carries out regional initiatives, helping its members become viable representatives of local authorities vis-à-vis central government. Key thematic areas include local finances, urban planning, waste management, institutional development, and energy efficiency.

Through its services, such as the Nalas E-academy and Nalas Observatory Tools, which provide valuable resources and knowledge-sharing platforms, Nalas supports and empowers local governments.
