The Nanaimo Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists is a group dedicated to providing its members with a variety of activities and shows. As a community of artists, their goal is to facilitate learning, sharing, and collaboration among their members and other professional artists. They offer platforms for showcasing art through their website, Facebook pages, and at least two shows annually.

The Chapter holds regular meetings to discuss business, updates, and achievements, as well as to host demos by invited artists. These meetings also provide opportunities for members to share and discuss their work with one another. Additionally, the Chapter organizes workshops throughout the year, with preferential rates and advance registration for members.

They aim to organize two shows each year, including the highly publicized Nanaimo Fine Art Show held at the Nanaimo Conference Centre. Members' news and brags are also regularly shared in their monthly newsletter
