## Description

Ankkalampi, also known as Ankdammen and Duckies, is a private early childhood education provider operating small, homelike neighborhood day care centers. Its approach focuses on children’s wellbeing, a safe environment, a high-quality daily routine, and the time and security children need to grow. The organization emphasizes child-centered, professional and motivated staff, alongside close cooperation and lasting educational partnerships with families.

Ankkalampi’s distinctive approach is functional bilingualism. Teaching is provided in the child’s mother tongue, while another language is introduced naturally through everyday activities and meaningful situations. Children encounter the additional language in contexts such as play, songs, rhymes and instructions, with the aim of building practical familiarity and cultural understanding rather than complete bilingual fluency.

The brand offers early childhood education and care for families through its day care centers, including age-group-based small-group activities. It also provides information for prospective families, application guidance and frequently asked questions. Ankkalampi presents its neighborhood-center model as a way to support convenient family routines and accessible day care.
