## Description

NARCIS was the national portal dedicated to scientific information, research data, research software, and project descriptions in the Netherlands. Although the NARCIS website was discontinued on July 3, 2023, the valuable content, including publication metadata and datasets, remains accessible through various institutional repositories. The Portal of Research Output from the Netherlands has been initiated by UKB and SURF as the successor to NARCIS.

DANS, the institute that operated NARCIS, continues to support the Dutch research community through its specialized data stations. These platforms serve as secure, centralized locations for researchers in fields such as archaeology, social sciences, humanities, life sciences, and physical and technical sciences to store, publish, discover, and share data. While the EASY system will soon be phased out, these data stations will facilitate continued access to vital research data. For any inquiries regarding NARCIS or its services, users can reach out through designated contact points provided by DANS.
