## Description

Althistorische Narrenzunft Narrhalla Hechingen e.V. is a traditional carnival society based in Hechingen, Germany, with a history spanning more than 145 years. The association celebrates local Fasnet customs through lively processions, festivities and distinctive costumed groups, bringing together tradition, humor and community spirit.

Its characters include the Pestmännle and black Butzen, drawn from a local legend; the colorful, bell-wearing Schalksnarren, who carry on the tradition of playful jesters; and the masked “Alten,” known for teasing interactions with the public. On Lumpenmontag, groups of men dressed as “Lumpen” take to the streets with provisions and instruments, accompanied by the society’s Lumpenmusik.

The Narrhalla shares information about its history, customs, events and Fasnet schedule, and welcomes people interested in joining and contributing to the celebrations. Members can take part in processions and events and help shape the association’s activities. The society also offers its Zunftstube and a tent for hire, and provides contact details and membership information through its website.
