The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) is a professional organization that provides support, resources, and accreditation for counsellors and psychotherapists. In response to overwhelming member feedback, they have recently changed their name from NCS to NCPS. The official name change will take effect on May 15th, 2023.

Along with the new name, they are also launching a brand new, improved website to better serve their members. Members will have access to a variety of helpful resources, including a Counsellor Directory that allows clients to find qualified practitioners. The website also features FAQs that address common questions about counselling, therapy types, and more.

Current members will receive updated logos, and certificates will be issued when the new website is launched. There is no need to make immediate changes to profiles and other materials, as the transition period will include both the old and new logos. Whether you're a student, individual member, or an organizational member, NCPS is dedicated to supporting and promoting excellence in counselling and psychotherapy.
