## Description

National Development Trust (NDT) is a Nepal-based nonprofit established in December 2023 to create sustainable, inclusive development opportunities across the country. Its work builds on community service begun through Triveni Cultural Group in 2001, including scholarship programs, cultural preservation, awareness campaigns and humanitarian response. NDT works with communities, government institutions, development partners and volunteers to strengthen long-term local impact, and is affiliated with Nepal’s Social Welfare Council.

The Trust’s focus areas include education, health and medical access, women and youth empowerment, disaster relief and risk reduction, environmental protection, agriculture and rural livelihoods, human rights, culture and heritage, and sustainable tourism. Its activities include supporting scholarships and learning opportunities, improving community wellbeing, promoting social inclusion, and responding to emergencies. NDT also conducts fundraising campaigns, including an appeal for people affected by flooding in Rasuwa, and invites people to donate or volunteer. Through these programs and partnerships, the organization aims to support community resilience, dignity and opportunity throughout Nepal.
