## Description

National Dog Day is a heartfelt celebration held annually on August 26th, established by Colleen Paige, a dedicated Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Rescue Advocate. This day honors dogs, highlighting their essential roles and unwavering devotion. Leading initiatives to raise awareness about dog adoption and promote their well-being, National Dog Day encourages the public to recognize the countless dogs in need of rescue each year.

Embracing all dogs, irrespective of breed, this movement emphasizes the significant contributions dogs make to society, from saving lives to providing comfort. National Dog Day rejects breed bans and advocates for responsible ownership, discouraging purchasing from questionable sources like puppy mills. Instead, adoption is championed as a preferred option, with a focus on education and compassionate care. Join in the celebration, make a difference, and consider welcoming a four-legged friend into your home on National Dog Day!
