## Description

Friends of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society is a registered Canadian charity based in Lethbridge, Alberta, dedicated to nature appreciation and environmental awareness. The Society supports a community of environmentally responsible citizens by helping connect people with the outdoors through educational experiences, presentations, workshops, and special initiatives. Its work enhances the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and supports nature-based opportunities that benefit residents and visitors, without funding the Centre’s core capital or operating requirements.

The Society partners with local organizations and seeks grants and donations to advance environmental education in the community. Its programs include Ask a Naturalist, author presentations, documentary screenings, youth art exhibitions, conservation activities, and nature play experiences. It also supports special events such as Nature Play Fest and the City Nature Challenge, alongside projects including exhibits, outdoor learning spaces, information kiosks, and Nature Play Pods.

Fundraising initiatives include Birdies for Kids, an endowment fund, bottle drives, vehicle donations, and community-led fundraisers.
