## Description

NatureSpace Partnership is a pioneering organization focused on sustainable development and the conservation of great crested newts in the UK. Established in response to a DEFRA report in 2013, the partnership launched its District Licensing Scheme in 2018 in collaboration with leading NGOs and local planning authorities. This innovative scheme operates across over 65 planning authorities and the Network Rail region, streamlining the planning process for developers while directly funding the creation and restoration of vital aquatic habitats. NatureSpace Partnership offers comprehensive services that include Impact Risk Zone mapping and Natural England-approved impact assessments, ensuring projects meet ecological standards without extensive delays. By investing over £6.2 million into conservation efforts, the partnership is committed to reversing the decline of great crested newts through habitat creation and long-term management plans. Their efforts represent a collective approach to biodiversity enhancement, balancing development with ecological responsibility, ultimately contributing to a sustainable future for both wildlife and communities.
