## Description

Naturschutzverband Sachsen e.V. (NaSa) is a Saxon conservation organisation founded in 1990 to put nature protection into practice across the landscape. Its central work is building a statewide network of connected habitats: the association acquires land throughout Saxony and restores it to support a functioning biotope network. Its projects include creating insect-friendly fields, restoring moors, developing nature areas and improving habitats for wildlife, including amphibians. Through initiatives such as ARCHE Naturprojekte and the Sächsisches Naturschutzforum, NaSa also shares information and supports wider engagement in conservation.

The association contributes to environmental decision-making by commenting on nature-conservation policies and construction projects across Saxony. It also uses its legal rights to challenge developments where appropriate. Its public information covers issues including landscape management, transport, hydropower and wind energy, alongside reports on local conservation work and advocacy. NaSa works with other recognised conservation groups on shared concerns, such as habitat restoration and the protection of Saxony’s natural and cultural landscapes. Overall, its work combines practical land restoration, public engagement and formal advocacy for nature.
