The Navy League of Canada, established in 1895, is dedicated to promoting an interest in Maritime Affairs throughout the country. Initially focused on naval defense, the organization has evolved to support youth training and the sustainable stewardship of marine resources. The Navy League provides its services through 260 local branches and offers two main programs: the Navy League Cadets for youth aged 9 to 12, and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet program for youth aged 12 to 18, in partnership with the Department of National Defence.

In addition to youth programs, the Navy League advocates for defense, maritime safety, and protection. The organization works to ensure the sustainability of Canada's Navy and Coast Guard while supporting the country's agricultural, industrial, and business sectors. As a founding member of the International Sea Cadet Association, the Navy League also facilitates cultural exchanges between cadets from twenty different nations.
