NBISC | CEENB is the New Brunswick Invasive Species Council, a network that brings together NGOs, government entities, industry, and recreational stakeholders with a shared interest in addressing invasive species challenges in New Brunswick. Their mission is to protect the province's environmental, economic, and recreational interests from the threats posed by invasive species. The council aims to achieve this by building capacity for invasive species management activities in the province and engaging the community in efforts to reduce the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species.

They enhance collaboration and coordination across New Brunswick on invasive species initiatives, raise awareness about invasive species through social media and community engagements, and work with communities to reduce the spread of invasive species through behavioral change outreach programs. Additionally, NBISC is proud to be part of the Canadian Council on Invasive Species (CCIS), a national network that collaborates across boundaries to combat invasive species. The CCIS develops education and outreach strategies to guide invasive species councils and organizations in motivating their audiences to take action against invasive species.
