# NCCDH - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `nccdh.ca` ## Description NCCDH | CCNDS is a brand that focuses on the social determinants of health. They understand that our health is greatly influenced by the conditions we experience in our daily lives and the systems in place to promote health, prevent disease, and support us during illness. The brand recognizes that the social determinants of health encompass various social conditions that interact and impact our overall well-being, including the circumstances in which we are born, grow up, live, work, and age. The World Health Organization's Commission on the Social Determinants of Health emphasizes the need to address the unequal distribution of health-damaging experiences caused by poor social policies, unfair economic arrangements, and bad politics. In response, NCCDH | CCNDS proposes three key recommendations: improving daily living conditions, tackling inequitable distribution of power and resources, and measuring and understanding the problem to assess the impact of action. To learn more about the social determinants of health, NCCDH | CCNDS offers a range of resources, including historical documents and educational materials. As part of their commitment to acknowledge and respect Indigenous territories, the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health is hosted at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Public Health and Safety _(under Health)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idui9Nf_AT/w/300/h/88/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1769630115643) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Rob Roy | #efbe73 | accent | | Midnight Blue | #002d73 | dark | | Jordy Blue | #73beef | light | ## Fonts - serif — asset _(custom)_ - mr-eaves-xl-modern — asset _(custom)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idui9Nf_AT/w/2377/h/1262/idzOSry2jl.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1769630116312) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
