NCCID, the National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases, is dedicated to assisting public health practitioners in accessing and utilizing the latest infectious disease research and evidence. As the field of infectious diseases evolves rapidly, NCCID serves as a crucial link between knowledge generators and users, fostering networks and partnerships to enhance public health practices and policies. Part of a group of six National Collaborating Centres for Public Health, NCCID focuses on areas such as Emerging Infectious Diseases, Tuberculosis, and Antimicrobial Resistance, among others. Their mission is to safeguard Canadians' health by integrating emerging research on infectious diseases into public health programs and policies.
