Neighborhood Christian Centers, Inc. (NCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to guiding those in need towards stability and sustainability. Established in 1978, NCC began as a grassroots ministry in 1968 by JoeAnn Ballard, aiming to provide housing, care, and support to the community, including a foster home for 75 children.

Today, NCC serves the Memphis community through 10 neighborhood-based sites in areas like Binghampton, Orange Mound, and Frayser. Their services are delivered through three pillars of Ministry: Compassionate Ministries, Youth Empowered to Succeed (YES), and Adult and Family Enrichment Services. NCC's mission is to empower families to achieve upward mobility and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.

By addressing both practical and spiritual needs, NCC fosters hope and offers support to disenfranchised communities. They value respect for the total person and strive to develop authentic relationships that lead to real change at the individual, family, and community level.
