## Description

National Cutting Horse Australia (NCHA) is the leading organisation in Australia’s cutting horse industry. Established in 1974 and based in Tamworth, New South Wales, it champions the western-style equestrian sport of cutting, where horse and rider work together to demonstrate athleticism, intelligence and skill in handling cattle. NCHA supports a community ranging from newcomers and professional competitors to multigenerational cutting families, while promoting the sport’s Australian legacy and international profile.

The association offers events and competitions, including futurities, national finals and other shows, alongside results, standings, livestreams and event replays. Its training and education resources include introductory information about cutting, training videos, clinics, accredited trainers and guidance for competitors. NCHA also recognises horses, riders, judges and contributors through its halls of fame and awards, and shares stories celebrating the people and horses shaping the sport. Through the National Cutting Horse Association Youth Australia, it provides support and opportunities for young enthusiasts, including training clinics funded in part by an annual stallion service auction.
