NCHE (North Carolinians for Home Education) is an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for home education in North Carolina. Founded in 1984, NCHE has grown from a small group of concerned parents to a statewide organization serving homeschoolers. They believe in the power of home education to foster academic success, strong family relationships, and moral character.

NCHE's mission is to help parents homeschool with confidence and joy. They achieve this through protecting the rights of homeschooling families, providing information and encouragement, and connecting families with other homeschoolers and support groups across the state. They also organize events such as the annual Thrive! Conference, featuring national and regional speakers, workshops, and a book fair. In addition, NCHE provides legislative watch services to ensure homeschoolers' rights are protected.
