## Description

NC Healthy Homes is a North Carolina-focused information and resource initiative hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Supported in part by an NIEHS grant and an NC Department of Health and Human Services contract, the website helps residents learn about healthy homes and gives health, housing, and community organization professionals materials to support education and better health outcomes.

Its guidance covers carbon monoxide, chemical irritants, lead, mold and moisture, pests and pesticides, radon, secondhand smoke, and extreme weather and natural disasters. Visitors can also access North Carolina county resources, disaster recovery information, and directories of training, libraries, and organizations. The site features partner spotlights and information about joining the Healthy Homes Task Force.

NC Healthy Homes also offers a listserv for local, state, and federal health and housing professionals to share updates on training, meetings, and developments in healthy homes. Through these educational resources and professional connections, the initiative supports efforts to help North Carolina communities maintain safer, healthier homes.
