NCURA, or the National Council of University Research Administrators, is a non-profit professional society established in 1959. They are dedicated to advancing the field of research administration through various programs, education, and knowledge sharing. With a diverse and global community of over 7,500 members from more than 1,100 colleges, universities, research institutes, and hospitals in 40 countries, NCURA plays a vital role in promoting communication and understanding among research administrators globally.

The primary goal of NCURA is to support university research administrators in effectively managing financial and administrative aspects of academic research projects. They facilitate the development and maintenance of outstanding research programs by providing essential administrative and financial support services. Research administrators within the NCURA community possess the skills necessary to navigate institutional policies, seek funding, ensure compliance with regulations, develop proposals, manage contracts and grants, and maintain fruitful university-industry relations.

NCURA values and promotes integrity, excellence, service, collegiality, transparency, inclusiveness, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the research administration profession. They offer a wide range of resources, including educational programs, publications, scholarships, and networking opportunities, to enhance the expertise and professional growth of their members.
