## Description

The National Dental Association (NDA) is a professional organization committed to advancing oral health equity for people of color and the communities it serves. Through member engagement, education, advocacy, and community outreach, the NDA supports dental professionals while working to improve access to care and strengthen the dental profession. Its membership offerings include resources for established and early-career dentists, professional networking, practice listings, committees, and leadership opportunities.

The association’s programs combine professional development with service. The New Dentist Hub and related initiatives provide mentorship, peer learning, and practical guidance for dentists in their first decade of practice. The Eddie G. Smith Leadership Institute develops future leaders in health equity, while NDA HEALTH NOW delivers oral health education and outreach through community events, health fairs, school programs, free-clinic support, and disaster relief. The NDA also offers the S.M.I.L.E. Healthcare Pathway for high school students interested in dentistry and hosts a Women’s Health Symposium.
