## Description

The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre is a performing arts organisation based in Ostrava, presenting a varied programme across opera, drama, ballet and musical theatre. Its productions range from classic works, including Verdi’s La Traviata, Puccini’s Tosca and Adam’s Giselle, to modern plays and musicals such as The Producers. Performances take place at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre, the Jiří Myron Theatre and Theatre “12”.

Alongside its main-stage programme, the theatre offers concerts, exhibitions, talks, discussions and other special events. Its Atelier provides performances, activities and workshops for audiences including young children, school groups, teenagers and seniors. The organisation also supports engagement with theatre through initiatives such as the Young Audience Club, educational programmes and guided backstage tours.

Visitors can browse current and upcoming programmes, buy tickets online, choose season subscriptions or purchase gift vouchers. The theatre also shares news, podcasts, publications and digital archive resources. Its activities are supported by the City of Ostrava, the Czech Ministry of Culture and the Moravian-Silesian Region.
