## Description

Northeast Disabilities Resource Centre (NDRC) is a Sunderland-based organisation that has supported disabled people for more than 60 years. Its work focuses on enhancing people’s lives through welcoming, accessible services for people with cerebral palsy and other physical or learning disabilities. The centre operates a purpose-built, two-storey day centre in the heart of Sunderland, providing opportunities to attend activities in a bright, supportive environment. Its education and therapy services include classes in basic IT skills and opportunities to work towards recognised qualifications, delivered by experienced staff.

NDRC also offers supported living in accessible one- and two-bedroom bungalows equipped with assistive technology. Personal assistance is available one-to-one or in small groups, helping people take part in social gatherings and pursue their chosen hobbies. For holidays, the organisation provides access to a disability-friendly lodge beside a lake at Haggerston Castle in Northumberland. Additional offerings include a holiday lodge, room hire, activities, volunteering and job opportunities.
