The North Dakota Society of Professional Engineers (NDSPE) is a state society representing engineers from all disciplines. As an affiliate of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), NDSPE promotes ethical and competent engineering practices. They actively advocate for professional licensure of engineers and work towards enhancing the status and professionalism of the engineering field.

Established in 1941, NDSPE operates as a non-profit organization and has a rich history of dedicated professionals serving the society. To recognize outstanding contributions, NDSPE presents the prestigious Elwyn F. Chandler award to deserving engineers.

NDSPE is part of the North Central Region of NSPE, along with other states including South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota. The organization comprises a Board of Directors, five Chapters, five Practice Divisions, and several Committees, providing ample opportunities for professional networking and collaboration. Local chapters are located strategically across the state, with chapters in Grand Forks, Minot, Bismarck/Mandan, Fargo, and Williston.
