## Description

The New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on the conservation and research of marine wildlife off the coast of New England. NECWA offers a variety of programs aimed at protecting species such as ocean sunfish and diamondback terrapins while fostering a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems. Their initiatives include the Southcoast Terrapin Project, which addresses the challenges faced by local turtle populations, and interactive marine education presentations featuring engaging activities, such as a life-sized inflatable humpback whale.

Through their community-sighting networks, NECWA encourages the public to report sightings of various marine species, contributing valuable data to ongoing research and conservation efforts. They also provide opportunities for volunteering, memberships, and adoptions, enabling community involvement in their mission. Furthermore, NECWA runs an online shop where supporters can purchase related items and donations are welcome to enhance their impactful work. Through education and community engagement, NECWA is committed to the preservation of New England’s unique coastal wildlife.
