## Description

National Equity Fund (NEF) is a mission-driven nonprofit organization that develops and delivers financial solutions to expand the creation and preservation of affordable housing. An industry leader in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) since 1987, NEF connects investors and developers through tax-credit syndication and has expertise in combining Opportunity Zone credits with LIHTC. Its work supports housing in urban, suburban and rural communities, with a focus on long-term affordability and strong partner relationships.

NEF offers a range of financing and investment services, including LIHTC, state tax-credit solutions, predevelopment loans and preservation lending. It also provides specialized financing for workforce and moderate-income rental housing, as well as supportive housing for vulnerable individuals and families. Its predevelopment loans help cover early project costs, while preservation financing can help property owners maintain affordable homes and reduce displacement as rents rise. NEF also brings knowledge of housing programs and policies to supportive housing development. Through these collaborative solutions, the organization seeks to help individuals and families access stable homes and reach their full potential.
