## Description

The National Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Training and Technical Assistance Center supports multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) working to address elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Established in 2019 by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime, the National Center is led by Weill Cornell Medicine’s Center for Elder Abuse Solutions in collaboration with Lifespan of Greater Rochester, Red Wind Consulting, the University of Southern California’s National Center on Elder Abuse, and the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life.

The Center provides case consultations, training, and current information to OVC-funded programs and the broader elder protection community. Its resources help teams launch and build community partnerships, strengthen their infrastructure and day-to-day practices, and plan for long-term sustainability. The website offers learning materials, resource briefs, guidance on team roles and responsibilities, and articles on topics including evaluation, data collection, ethics, performance reporting, and work in Tribal communities. It also shares links to relevant organizations and helps visitors find regional support.
