## Description

The Nelson Market is a long-running New Zealand market known for fresh produce, gourmet foods and quality arts and crafts. Established in 1981, it brings local growers, food makers and artisans together in a lively weekly gathering at Montgomery Square in central Nelson. The market is open every Saturday from 8am to 1pm, rain or shine, offering visitors a place to shop, enjoy brunch and discover locally made goods.

Its stalls feature fresh and organic fruit and vegetables, flowers, plants, herbs and seeds, alongside prepared foods, baked treats, drinks, honey, jams, cheeses and other specialty products. Shoppers can also browse clothing and accessories, jewellery, ceramics, glassware, handmade wooden pieces, woven homewares, art, music, health and wellbeing products, and items for pets.

Through its online Farmers Market Shop, the Nelson Market helps customers connect with local stallholders and buy directly from them beyond market day. The brand also shares market stories, seasonal highlights, recipes and local events, inviting people in Nelson and further afield to explore and enjoy its distinctive community marketplace.
