Description
National Environment & Planning Agency (NEPA) is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation in Jamaica. Established on April 1, 2001, NEPA carries out the technical and administrative mandate of three statutory bodies - the Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA), the Town and Country Planning Authority (TCPA), and the Land Development and Utilization Commission (LDUC). As the lead government agency, NEPA is responsible for environmental protection, natural resource management, land use, and spatial planning in Jamaica.
NEPA offers a range of services to support its mission of managing and protecting Jamaica's natural and built environments. These services include permits and licenses, development assistance, application tracking, documentation access, and the Jamaica Beach Guide. Additionally, NEPA is involved in various projects and provides resources for environmental impact assessments.
