## Description

NestNode is a pre-launch smart-home and home-server project focused on local control, data privacy, and an approachable setup. Its planned compact device is intended to combine a router, smart-home hub, local server, and Hermes AI assistant in one system. NestNode is designed to work with Home Assistant and open standards, including Zigbee, Matter, and Z-Wave, subject to compatible hardware and integrations. The team is inviting households in the DACH region to join its beta process and offers an optional waitlist for launch updates. An internet connection will still require a modem or fiber/cable converter in bridge mode.
