# Nestnotebook - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `nestnotebook.website` ## Description Nestnotebook is a beginner’s field notebook for discovering the birds that share our cities. Its practical approach helps readers learn common local species before seeking rarities, using observation, shape, behaviour, habitat and field marks to build identification skills. The site offers three short guides covering how to get started, ethical birdwatching and urban habitats, alongside 14 identification cards for common city birds. Cards can be filtered by habitat and size, and include species names, distinguishing features, calls, approximate lengths and places to look. Nestnotebook encourages birdwatching without specialist equipment: binoculars are optional, with 8× models suggested for those who want them. It recommends quiet, regular walks and careful notes, while putting birds’ welfare first. Guidance advises keeping a respectful distance, avoiding nests, playback and baiting, and protecting sensitive locations. The habitat guide explores parks, waterways, streets, buildings and undeveloped urban edges, helping beginners know where to watch and what they might encounter. Designed for everyday walks, Nestnotebook makes city birdwatching approachable, informative and considerate of wildlife. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Birds _(under Pets and Animals)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idYYcHy-SV/w/820/h/820/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791174302803) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Merino | #f7f3e8 | accent | | Killarney | #2c5a3a | dark | ## Fonts - var(--serif) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
