## Description

Netcapital is an online platform that connects individuals interested in startup investing with emerging private companies seeking capital. It aims to make startup investment opportunities more accessible, allowing users to browse offerings by factors such as industry, funding round, and geography. Investors can review company offering pages, communicate with founders and management teams, and invest online using a credit card, linked bank account, or wire transfer. An investor dashboard provides access to investment information and company updates.

For entrepreneurs, Netcapital offers services designed to support online fundraising and investor relations, helping businesses reach a community of potential investors while they focus on building their companies. The platform also provides resources about investing, fundraising, and ownership. Securities purchased through Netcapital are held through a custodian, with investors retaining beneficial ownership and associated economic benefits. Netcapital emphasizes that private-company investments are highly speculative, illiquid, and may result in the loss of an investor’s entire contribution. Its offerings are subject to applicable investment limits and risks.
