The Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) is a professional society that represents multidisciplinary teams of neurocritical care providers worldwide. The mission of NCS is to improve outcomes for patients with life-threatening neurological illnesses. Neurocritical care providers, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, advanced practice providers, researchers, and scientists, make up the neurocritical care team.

They specialize in treating patients with life-threatening brain and spinal cord emergencies and injuries. With their advanced training in areas such as brain and nervous system monitoring and pharmacotherapy, their goal is to bring their collective knowledge to drive the best possible outcomes. NCS promotes and fosters research in neurocritical care through the Neurocritical Care Research Central (NCRC) and provides professional support through practice guidelines, certification courses, and an annual meeting focused on neuroscience education.
