## Description

New Contemporaries is a premier organization dedicated to supporting emergent art practices across the UK, founded in 1949 by artists for artists. Committed to empowering emerging and early-career artists, New Contemporaries fosters an inclusive environment where these voices can thrive and shape their futures. By prioritizing artist-led initiatives, the organization challenges traditional art hierarchies and promotes innovative ideas through collective action.

New Contemporaries offers an annual artist development program that culminates in a prestigious national touring exhibition, showcasing talent selected by renowned artists. Their partnerships with major institutions like the South London Gallery and the British Council further enhance their mission to champion diversity and collaboration in the art community. As an Arts Council of England National Portfolio Organisation, New Contemporaries emphasizes sustainability for future generations of artists.
