## Description

Newmedica is a specialist eye health provider offering NHS and private care across more than 30 locations in England. Founded in 2007 by a former eye care patient and a leading consultant, the organisation focuses on protecting sight and treating advanced eye conditions, while putting patients’ needs first. It cares for more than 340,000 NHS and private patients each year and works with the NHS, local GPs and opticians to support eye care in local communities.

Its services include expert cataract surgery, glaucoma care, YAG laser treatment, oculoplastics, eyelid and tear duct procedures, and treatment for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, macular holes and vitreous floaters. Newmedica also offers refractive lens exchange and vitreoretinal surgery. Patients may receive eligible treatment through the NHS at no extra cost, or choose private care through self-pay or medical insurance; finance options are available for some private treatments.

The provider highlights short waiting times, specialist consultants and modern clinics.
