New Millenium Book Distributor is a brand that was established in 2014 on a college campus in Lansing, MI. Recognizing the need for books that represent under-served communities, we started organizing book fairs at schools, civic and community events. We initially began our operations online and later experimented with brick-and-mortar storefronts and Pop-up locations.

Our Pop-up direct sales and online sales have been the most effective ways to reach the public and give exposure to our diverse range of books. We have held Pop-up sales at various venues, but recently we have been focusing on Eastern Market in downtown Detroit, MI. Our Pop-up shop operates every Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 4PM, between June and October.

During the winter season, we also host special events. Our mission at New Millenium Book Distributor is to provide information, adventure, and education to under-served youth and adults. Our goal is to ensure that everyone sees themselves represented in stories, heroes, and everyday experiences.

We have a special focus on African American and African Diaspora literature, but we also offer stories and adventures from various cultures around the world.
