New Settlement is a community-led, mission-driven Settlement House based in the Southwest Bronx. With a history spanning over 30 years, we have been dedicated to building the resilience and aspirations of the youth and families in our neighborhood. We offer a wide range of award-winning programs that focus on after-school education, workforce development, college readiness, health and fitness, and community organizing for better housing and safer schools.

Our mission is to break systemic barriers, advance justice, promote leadership, and strengthen neighborhoods. By empowering individuals and families with agency over their education, employment, housing, wellness, and creative expression, we contribute to creating a more equitable society where everyone has the power to shape their own future. Through close collaboration with community members, educational institutions, housing and development organizations, businesses, and social service agencies, we have successfully revitalized our neighborhood and built a stronger community.
