## Description

The NEWSubnormal is Andy Lambeth’s blog, featuring satirical writing and social commentary. Its posts use fictional characters, absurd situations and wordplay to explore contemporary issues, including identity, equality and diversity, and public attitudes. “Malcolm the mushroom,” for example, follows a council employee whose unusual self-identification prompts a comic clash with his wife and workplace. The story’s exaggerated premise and invented office teams underpin its irreverent take on institutional language and debates about belonging.

The site also provides a “Lockdown satire” archive, offering readers access to earlier humor, alongside a contact page and links to the blog’s social media profiles. Visitors can search the site for posts and browse its home page for the latest writing. The NEWSubnormal is best suited to readers interested in topical satire and narrative-based humor rather than a conventional news or reference publication. Its central offering is Andy Lambeth’s original blog content, presented in a personal, conversational style that combines fictional storytelling with commentary on cultural and social themes.
