# Working Group on New TB Drugs - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `newtbdrugs.org` ## Description The Working Group for New TB Drugs (WGND) is a network of stakeholders dedicated to accelerating the development of effective, affordable new therapies for tuberculosis (TB). As part of the Stop TB Partnership, it brings together researchers and developers, regulators, public health workers, funders, community representatives, advocates and policy-makers. The group helps coordinate, guide and advance worldwide research and development of lifesaving TB treatments. A central resource is its interactive drug pipeline, which tracks candidate compounds, regimens, drug targets, developers, clinical trials and trial sites. WGND also conducts an annual survey of the global TB drug pipeline to support information exchange and improve coordination across the research enterprise. Through news, meetings, videos, podcasts and membership activities, the group shares updates and connects people working to improve TB therapy. Its work addresses the need for shorter, simpler and less toxic treatments for drug-sensitive and drug-resistant TB, as well as suitable formulations for children.
