## Description

The New University in Exile Consortium is a globally expanding group of colleges and universities dedicated to assisting scholars who have been under attack around the world. Building on the original University in Exile created by The New School in 1933, the Consortium now hosts more than 150 exiled scholars from 24 countries. Each institutional member commits to hosting at least one threatened scholar every year, working with them individually and collectively to alleviate the sense of displacement they experience. In addition, the Consortium extends its mission to find placements for threatened Afghan and Ukrainian academics, students, and artists. They offer programs such as co-led online seminars, library access initiatives, and a sourcebook database to support these scholars. By joining the Consortium or making a donation, you can contribute to offering safety, opportunity, and collaboration to scholars in need.
