## Description

The New Vic Theatre, established in 1986 as Europe’s first purpose-built theatre-in-the-round, stands as a pivotal institution in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent's cultural landscape. Committed to delivering international-class performances tailored to local audiences, the New Vic engages over 150,000 visitors annually through a diverse array of plays, concerts, and exhibitions. It aims to inspire community pride and enhance engagement, especially among young people, with a robust program that includes award-winning productions and educational outreach that reaches around 25,000 individuals each year. The theatre operates with a strong community focus, developing partnerships with Arts Council England and local bodies to amplify its impact. It also features initiatives like the New Vic Borderlines and Appetite, aimed at tackling social challenges through the arts. As a National Theatre Studio Affiliate, the New Vic continues to innovate and nurture local talent. With a mission to make theatre accessible and promote creativity, the New Vic Theatre enriches the lives of those it serves, making it a true cornerstone of the region's artistic community.
