The New York Indian Council is an Urban Indian Health Program that aims to bring healthcare services to federally and state recognized Native Americans in the greater New York area. We cater to American Indian/Alaska Natives who are enrolled or descendants in the first or second degree of a recognized tribe. We proudly serve the native community in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

Our mission is to promote the well-being of AI/AN people by providing health services that are culturally sensitive, honoring our history, traditions, and philosophies. As natives serving natives, we strive to be a model for quality health services to Native American/Alaska Natives in NYC. In line with our vision, we are working towards establishing a Healthy Indian Life Center that combines traditional practices with a healthy lifestyle.
